About this coffee
Busasa CWS is located near Ruvubu National Park, in Buhinyuza commune, Muyinga province in northern Burundi. The washing station is located on the hill of Busasa and collects cherry from 10 surrounding hills of the washing station. Outside of these hills, there are other hills that are not close to the CWS and we collect from them by setting up collection centres to reduce the distance our farmers have to travel. The station also has its own coffee plantation with more than 7,000 plants on the hill of Busasa itself. This station focuses mainly on the production of high quality and clean commercial coffee. This is the station that Nadine from the Coffee Board will focus on over the next two years, after Nyagishiru and Businde have developed tremendously in terms of quality and operations.
