About this coffee

This coffee comes from the Ecuadorian Amazon region and is grown by indigenous Kichwa communities in the Sumaco Biosphere Reserve - supported and marketed by Giomar "Gio" Hidalgo and her Latitud 0° Green Coffee project.
Gio is an environmental scientist, coffee lover and founder of Latitud 0°. After years in the German coffee industry, she returned to her native Ecuador to dedicate herself to the quality and visibility of high-quality Canephora coffee.
It works closely with local producers, provides training on sustainable cultivation and works with the communities to improve quality and value creation directly at the source. Particular attention is paid to the protection of biodiversity, the traditional Kichwa Chakra system and the empowerment of women in coffee production.
A coffee with origins, attitude and a clear vision - supported by people who live change.
